Welcome to my Wild Garden! Right now, you can come with me as I photograph the growing season of a small, neglected garden. In the future, I plan to add a photo gallery, a section on Tudor outfits, as well as a number of other things.

October 25th: The Last Dance

The pokeweed is still flowering, although the bunches are smaller now.
The Queen Anne's lace has opened up to allow its seeds, sticky with tiny bur-hooks, to hitch a ride where they can.
The dock's green flowers have turned a rich shade of brown as the seed ripened,

A last goldenrod bloom leans out over the driveway.
The primrose's latest seed pod ripen, getting ready to snap open at the tips when the seeds are ripe, as those in the background have, and the vetch's pods are still fat with seeds.
Many leaves are yellow, as with the wild morning glory, poison ivy and hawthorn.
One leaf is a startling scarlet.
The calico aster is still in bloom,
The leaves of the maples and black raspberries show a variety of reds, oranges, and yellows.
The bittersweet, mostly as green as ever, continues its strangling climb.
