Welcome to my Wild Garden! Right now, you can come with me as I photograph the growing season of a small, neglected garden. In the future, I plan to add a photo gallery, a section on Tudor outfits, as well as a number of other things.

August 20th: A time of yellow and green and some cryptic blooms

An inconspicuous inflorescence can be seen below the top leaves of this three-vein. Does anyone know the real name of this plant?

The hawkweed flowers keep on coming.

Spent fireworks weed seeds develop on the long "smoke trails".

The butter-and-eggs continues to bloom.

Devil's beggartick leaves continue to grow upward.

The wild lettuce is finished with its yellow display and settling down to producing seeds.

The cryptic flowers of the mugwort seems to consist of bud scales, stamens and pistol, all pared down to the minimum.

Lambs' quarters buds promise flowers that are not much more showy.

The goldenrod is looking a bit seedy.

A black fly perches on an evening primrose flower complex.
